Step One: Order the Textbook
Our textbook, The First Year of Latin, is reasonably priced and available from any of several online booksellers. Click on the links provided to order your copy of the textbook for this online class. If you are a homeschooled or self-taught student, you may benefit greatly from first working your way through my simple introduction to Latin entitled Getting Started with Latin. It will teach you the fundamentals of Latin and encourage you to continue your Latin studies at the next level.
Step Two: Get a Pen and a Notebook
This online class is meant to be just like a real Latin class—complete with homework and exercises to do. So in addition to the textbook, you will need a notebook and a writing utensil. However, you will not be needing lunch money or a backpack.
Step Three: Download the Lectures
The last step is to download and listen to the recorded lectures which will take you through the book lesson by lesson. You can download these by proceeding to the Book Lectures page.
